Motion Graphics Videos

Design that moves

There are countless ways to tell your story with a video. You can interview your current clients, write a script for an actor to perform into a camera, or write a more narrative piece that feels like a short film. Sometimes a story requires you to show statistics, theoretical concepts, or products that only exist as a 3D rendering right now. Often this is early in the process of product development, or in the first stages of creating a new service. These cases can be a great opportunity to create a motion graphics video.

Above is a motion graphics video we created for Medtronic MyCareLink.

The unifying trait of motion graphics videos is that they are pictures, graphics, or illustrations that move. That’s really it. Some have animated characters that walk and talk, some have stats and graphs that illustrate the value proposition, some are just little vignettes to support a voice over that is telling the story. These videos are great as a stand alone piece, or as a supplement to a white paper or article about your business. Are you saving people time and money with your service? You can tell them in a blog post, but eye catching graphics and thoughtful storytelling will grab more attention and make the message stick.

So how are you going to do all that? Well there are countless options here too. The best way to capture people’s attention is with a human face. If you don’t have the time or ability to shoot video of a person right now, the next best thing is a human voice, and that means you’ll need a script.

Start with the story. Why are we making this video and what do we want people to know? At TTProCo we’ve worked with scripts in every form. Some scripts come to us complete with storyboards and visual assets. Most are more basic, bullet lists and a brand guide. To stitch these notes and ideas together, we build a story with a beginning, middle, and end. What problem exists in the world? Who or what can solve it? How can you get one? Reinforce with stats or specs of your product and you’re cooking with fire.

But what does the fire look like? Here too, you have a lot of options. Often you can put together a great motion graphics video with stock photos, vector graphics, and music. This is an economical way to tell your story that still allows us to stay on brand, with plenty of engaging animation. If you have something more specific in mind we can recommend some amazing illustrators to create custom graphics that are purpose built for movement, and our in-house music producer is happy to create custom tracks for your piece as well.

However you decide to create your motion graphics video, tell a story, find a human voice to tell it, keep the visuals on brand. If you want help writing, producing, or distributing your message give us a shout. We’re always in motion.
