You'll notice that we don't have a lot of team members on our website. It's not because we're hiding the talent in the basement and taking credit for the work ourselves (although...). Anyway, If you hire TTP you get Luke and/or me. You talk to us on the phone. Email us directly with ideas. We're the ones that hold the camera at the shoot, and we edit and deliver your video. We own our gear, we work from home, and we only bring in help if the project requires it and your budget allows. We are nimble.
Why does this matter? In the age of social media marketing, we are finding that more clients are looking to produce video work that is of the moment. A video that might live on social media for two weeks isn't something you want to spend six months planning and half your annual marketing budget on. It DOES need to be on-brand, high quality, and turned around quickly. Which is why you want to consider hiring professionals over doing it in-house. Whether it's paired with a recipe, blog post, or created as stand alone content, a video produced for Facebook or Instagram can have a big impact. These tend to be rich ground for creativity. You're trying to cut through the noise of social media so feel free to have some fun! Fun, effective work is the best kind.
Being nimble also allows us to knock out a high quality customer story with minimal setup. We can zip out for a local shoot or get on an airplane and capture a story that lives half a world away. We travel light. When we invest in new gear we consider both the value added to our local shoots, but also the mobility of the new gear for traveling gigs. We can take this show on the road with two carry-on bags and a couple of suitcases. Cameras, lenses, lights, microphones, sliders and everything else that adds production value to our work is mobile. Our process has a small footprint. You have a client or customer that you want to get on camera, but you don't want to disrupt their business. Whether you're in downtown Minneapolis, or Kuala Lumpur, we're like a Boy Scout trip to the boundary waters. We take only pictures, and we leave only footprints.
In post production, nimble means zero layers of "telephone" between you and the person telling your story. We help you plan the shoot. Work with you to shape the message. We were there to shoot it, and we're in the trenches building the timeline. We like to think of ourselves as your high-end in-house team, without the overhead. Luke and I do the motion design, color work, edit footage, mix the audio, and make the coffee. Speaking of coffee, give me a call. Lets get a coffee.
